VCSE sector organisations that have a majority of their governing body (or staff make-up) from BAME communities and their services designed, targeted and delivered to BAME communities are invited to apply for grants to help them deal with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A range of wellbeing, resilience, and capacity building projects can be funded during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic and three types of grants are available:

Option 1:

  • Grants of up to £5,000 for organisations with an annual income of under £50,000.
For locally rooted organisations that have been providing critical support to people at a community level enabling them to continue to work for their communities and survive the crisis.

Option 2:

  • Grants of up to £10,000 for organisations with an annual income of between £50,000 and £150,000.
For organisations that may be better surviving the constraints brought on by the pandemic and are looking at developing projects focusing on ways in which to work with their communities to rebuild and reimagine the future.

Option 3:

  • Micro grants of between £500 and £1,000 for capacity building purposes.

Applications for wellbeing projects that demonstrate that they are people/service-user-centred are encouraged, as well as projects that are reaching:

  • BAME LGBTQi communities.
  • Those with no recourse to public funds.
  • Those living with disabilities or long-term conditions.
  • Asylum seekers and refugees.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 30 October 2020.
