CAP will be putting a temporary pause on seeing new clients through our CAP Debt Help service.
Over the past couple of years, they have been seeing a huge increase in the number of people coming to them for help. They have also seen a rise in the number of vulnerable clients with complex cases, as well as those coming to them with priority debts.
This increase in demand for their service means they are now working with a large number of clients. In order to give these clients the excellent and holistic service they deserve, they are making some temporary changes to their Debt Help service.
Therefore, they are planning to temporarily close their helpline for new client enquiries (0800 328 0006) from 3:30pm on Friday 9 August, in order to provide their existing clients with the support they need to become debt free as soon as possible. All existing bookings will be honoured, and they will be accepting new Debt Help clients again in the future.
CAP Job Club/Fresh Start/Life Skills groups will still be open and looking for new members as usual, so please do refer clients into these services.
