Stockton on Tees Cycling Festival returns in 2022, and the event is set to be even bigger and better than ever!
This high-profile event will once again be action-packed, featuring youth racing, both a women’s and men’s elite road race as part of the British Cycling National Road Race Series. On top of that, we will also host our Ride Stockton mass participation family ride for all ages and abilities to enjoy and ride their bikes of all shapes and sizes on a traffic-free route. Plus, we’ll once again have a jam-packed event site full of free activities and entertainment to engage and inspire all.
We would like to offer a limited number of places (up to 30) across the Borough, to become event champions and cycling event ambassadors.
You don’t need to be a star cyclist, but just enjoy riding your bike, inspiring and encouraging your friends and family to come along and get involved in this year’s Cycling Festival
The role will involve –
- Promoting the event as much as possible in the lead up to the event, and looking for opportunities to do so, including promotion on social media.
- Distributing event information and flyers within your networks
- Encouraging friends and family to come along, enjoy the event and take part in the Ride Stockton on Tees Family ride
- You must be able to commit to attending the event on Sunday 3rd July
The opportunity comes with some great incentives –
- A Stockton on Tees event ambassador cycling outfit – (including high-performance cycling top and bib shorts)
- The opportunity to be involved in a mini launch event to receive your exclusive cycling outfit, alongside other selected ambassadors.
- The opportunity to be at the very front of Ride Stockton, starting the mass participation family ride alongside all of the other ambassadors and lead out the start in our very own “grand depart”
- Opportunity as part of the overall event to meet the best riders from the elite teams in a special photoshoot, VIP meet and greet at The Hilton Hotel (on Saturday 2nd July).
- Opportunity to be in a prize draw for ambassadors and their families to win a ride in the guest car as part of the exciting race peloton – experiencing the live-action as it happens.
- Discounted entry to the Stockton Sportive on Saturday 2nd July (optional to take part)
