Stockton Recovery service ran by the charity “Change Grow Live (CGL)” now offer a range of different one-off sessions to the residents of Stockton-on-Tees who might be struggling with unhealthy habits, ranging from drugs and alcohol to poor sleep and Nutrition.
As some of you may know Change grow Live deliver support for residents of Stockton struggling with drug and alcohol issues.
Their new service complements our specialist Substance Misuse Service by providing a bespoke offer for people who may be using substances such as drugs and alcohol.
This might also include people who are using lower levels of alcohol or drugs recreationally such as cocaine or cannabis. They know that many people who would benefit from brief advice and support around this type of use, may not access a specialist substance misuse service but would be more inclined to engage in a program that looks more generally at their health and wellbeing and can be delivered remotely thus avoiding the negative fears people sometimes have of walking into a drug and alcohol service.
Healthy Habits service is now offering one-off sessions around a host of unhealthy habits that all of us might struggle with from time to time, these include, Sleep, been active, Gambling, self-development, well-being, nutrition, relationships, finance, smoking, anxiety, how to give back, getting active and mindfulness.
The team recognise that many areas of life impact on health and wellbeing and subsequently can contribute to increased drug and/or alcohol use. To support people in understanding a range of unhealthy habits, they are offering open sessions online for anyone in Stockton to join. These sessions will be advertised on Facebook and Eventbrite and all you need to do is simply register and come along and try one.
