Sport England has commissioned NWA Research to explore local levels of physical activity as part of a lottery-funded pilot research project.

NWA is issuing a short questionnaire on behalf of Sport England to individuals aged 16 or above, who live in four targeted Stockton Borough wards. These are:

  • Stockton-On-Tees Town Centre
  • Mandale and Victoria
  • Hardwick and Salters Lane
  • Parkfield and Oxbridge.

Richard Waterton of NWA Research said: “Being active can have a very positive impact on people’s physical and mental wellbeing, but many people find it really hard to be more active despite all of the positive benefits. Local organisations are working in partnership with Sport England to help people feel better by being more active and we need your help by filling in this questionnaire.”

If you or your agency/organisation are based in these wards and would like to join the pilot research, please contact NWA by calling 01642 360982 or 07811 101585, or email richard.waterton@nwaresearch.co.uk. The deadline is Saturday 31 March.

Online and paper versions of the questionnaire are available.  A contribution towards organisation costs can be made and be paid when completed questionnaires are returned.
