Stockton Council together with our partners in the Police, Fire Brigade, Thirteen, and Northstar Housing will join together to provide a coordinated day of action in Thornaby.

Date: Thursday 24th January
Time: 10:00am
Location: Meet at the Community Hub, Havelock Street, Thornaby

The following streets will be targeted:

  • Peel Street (part of)
  • Cromwell Terrace
  • Havelock Street
  • Scarborough Street
  • Westbury Street (part of)
  • Victoria Road
  • Oxford Road
  • Stranton Street
  • Stainsby Street
  • Henley Grove

The aim of the day will be to provide additional street cleaning, vegetation and graffiti removal together with an increased presence from the Police and Fire Brigade to provide your community with all the care and support needed.

What are they asking for:
They would love individuals or groups of residents to help. Do you have a spare hour to pick up some litter? What about that planter in your street, could you help to clear weeds and debris? Any help would be really appreciated.

What do I need:
We will provide gloves and litter pickers, all you need to bring is some warm clothing.

Why are they doing this:
This day is one of many events in Stockton and Thornaby. The aim is to improve your community by bringing together all the services and community in a coordinated manner. You have told us that litter, fly tipping, crime and graffiti is a problem in Thornaby, we want to address these problems and we need your help to do it.
