Voice: Supporting Sector Representatives
Stockton Voice: supporting VCSE sector representatives.
The role of a voluntary or community representative is to speak up on behalf of the sector on strategic Boards and at other important meetings and events throughout the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees.
Representatives undertake a vital role, providing the voice of the sector when local issues, policies or the way services are delivered are discussed with partners such as Stockton Borough Council or Cleveland Police.
Becoming a voluntary or community sector representative offers a wide variety of benefits for both you and your organisation including:
- Contributing to the strength of the voice of the voluntary and community sector in the Borough and influencing service delivery
- Personal development opportunities though contributing to high level meetings and events, as well as regular access to training
- Developing and extending your personal networks with key partners, both from within the Sector but also from within the Public Sector and with local business.
Part of the service from Stockton Voice is to support sector representatives to fulfil their goals as part of the wider community voice.
If you represent your organisation or the sector at a local forum get in touch to see how we can help.
