Centre of Excellence Training and Support

The Centre of Excellence is the training, research and development hub for voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Stockton-on-Tees.

A key part of the Centre of Excellence are the training opportunities we offer to members of Catalyst to help them support their service users and improve their organisation’s efficiency. These opportunities are (mostly) free for Catalyst members to attend.

These range practical qualification such as First Aid, Food Safety, Risk Assessment and Health and Safety to professional skills such as Social Media, Marketing, Business Planning, areas such as Safeguarding, Lone Working Governance, Bid-Writing, and representative and Voice training.

We offer training opportunities which run to half a day or a day, and course which run one day per week for several weeks. Most of the longer courses come with professional qualifications.

The Centre of Excellence is the training, research and development hub for voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Stockton-on-Tees.

If you are looking to establish a charitable organisation, or you need support around governance, charity regulations, safeguarding, or other statutory responsibilities,  then Catalyst are here to help!

The Centre of Excellent is intended to support local organisations into being the best that they can be, and this includes having up to date and relevant governance and reporting systems.

If you are struggling with your governance, or would simply just like an extra set of eyes to take a look and offer advice, we are here for you.
