Depaul UK helps people around the UK who are homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged. They are a homelessness charity with the largest network of emergency accommodation for young people in the UK, making a difference to the lives of thousands of young people and vulnerable adults each year. They are unique, innovative and very passionate about what we do, working in the very heart of local communities.

You will have a vital role to play in helping us achieve our mission of offering homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.

You will promote and oversee the successful delivery of Depaul UK drop-in and emotional resilience work based predominantly at the John Paul Centre in Middlesbrough. The Positive Pathways out of Homelessness project began four years ago with support from the Church Urban Fund. Funding has been secured for the project to enter an exciting new phase of delivery. You will be working with vulnerable people, predominantly those affected by issues of homelessness and with multiple and complex needs.

The focus of this role is to create and sustain the successful delivery of drop-in activities and/or workshops for homeless and vulnerable people with the support of stakeholders, volunteers and Depaul UK clients.  This will be achieved by working flexibly and in collaboration with other Depaul UK staff in Middlesbrough, sharing and learning with colleagues from across the organisation, while also brokering internal activities and external (community based) progression opportunities for people who access support from Depaul UK. The role will also include supporting the regional client involvement efforts.

Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour model of assets based, psychologically informed delivery, the aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves a Depaul service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self determining in their lives.

In return they can offer a range of employee benefits including; competitive salary, five weeks annual holiday plus bank holidays (rising to six weeks plus bank holidays), contributory pension scheme, life assurance and childcare voucher scheme.

Depaul strives to be an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. If you require information to be sent to you in an alternative format please contactrecruitment@depaulcharity.org.ukor 0207 939 1250.

An enhanced DBS disclosure is a requirement for this post. Their recruitment checks, induction and ongoing support and supervision reflect our commitment to safeguarding our clients.
