Due to the expansion of ABC Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Solutions local therapeutic services they are looking to appoint a Senior Children & Young People Therapist to deliver evidenced based psychological outcomes. The successful applicant will be a qualified play therapist, preferably holding a professional social work qualification.
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
The Senior Children & Young People Therapist will be expected to play an active role in supporting and supervising paid and volunteer ABC therapists to deliver evidenced based outcomes and safe practice. The successful individual will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised, placing the needs of children and families first and foremost.
The successful applicant must have an extensive background of working with complex case needs, including children in and on the edge of care.
Applicants will demonstrate an ability to engage with children, young people and families with a wide variety of complex needs. This includes the ability and expertise to use and complete specialist assessments to inform need.
Applicants must be a member of a professional body that has been approved by the Professional Standards Authority. A commitment to safeguarding, diversity, strength-based practice and equality are essential for this post.
The successful applicant will possess the adaptability and flexibility to work across Teesside in a variety of therapeutic and multi-disciplinary settings.
This will include regular evening and occasional weekend working. The successful applicant is required to attend interview and undertake an enhanced DBS check, and provide satisfactory references prior to being offered the post.
