Stockton Borough Council hosting a Winter Health Conference:

Date: Friday 22nd November
Time: 9:00am -1:00pm
Venue: River Tees Water Sports Centre, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 2NL

Stockton Borough Council would like to invite you to attend the conference as a delegate. There is a planned coffee break at 10.30 and this will be a marketplace session for approx. 45 mins to allow delegates to talk to stallholders.  There is also a network session from 12pm, again where delegates can browse the stalls.

The winter months for some bring cold, rain, dark mornings and short evenings; whilst for others it brings stress, isolation, financial trouble and concerns for health and wellbeing. Winter is undoubtedly a difficult time for different pockets of the population for different reasons.

Fortunately, in Stockton-on-Tees there is a range of both local and national support that can be provided for these vulnerable groups. To share information about these avenues of support, we would like to introduce the Stockton-on-Tees Winter Health Conference. We have a host of excellent presenters to talk through some key issues relating to winter health.

They would love to see attendance from across the health and wellbeing system, but in particular those who represent VCSE organisations who represent key target groups. These might include:

  • Older residents
  • Pregnant women
  • BME groups
  • Deprived communities

They will have a donation box at the event, and we would be very grateful if you would like to bring a scarf, old coat, gloves or socks that could be donated to our local foodbanks to allow them to pass on some warm clothes to vulnerable groups.

If you would like to attend the conference as a delegate then please confirm with Leannda Mount at Leannda.mount@stockton.gov.uk
