Community Face Masks scheme underway

Roseworth Big Local recently reached out for volunteers to help make homemade face coverings; which would then be distributed free of charge to local Roseworth resident. Roseworth big local are funding this project as part of its current plan and have purchased all the required materials. The first batch of 100 are already underway.

Community Development Worker Claire said “We had a great response from local volunteers across the Stockton borough who wanted to help and we hope we will be able to give out 200 free face coverings to Roseworth residents in October”

Funds are still available so there are still volunteer opportunities for any local ‘crafty’ residents “it would be great to get 500 masks made, or even 1000. We saw great community spirit during isolation and its great to see local people coming out to support each other once again”
