Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council wants to ensure that people accessing social care have every opportunity to live fulfilled and happy lives. The Council and Catalyst believe that volunteers can play a key role in supporting this.
The Volunteer Co-ordinator (Adult Social Care) will develop a compassionate culture of volunteering to support people who are receiving adult social care services in Stockton.
They will support individuals to connect to their communities through participating in social activities both in the community and online. They will also encourage people who are in contact with adult social care and would benefit from volunteering to progress to volunteering themselves.
The role will initially commence with Day Opportunities and the post holder will need to develop a good working relationship with staff working within adult social care. The post holder will work with volunteer organisations, to enable their volunteers to support people in receipt of adult social care
