in realising their goals and

aspirations

Wanted Volunteer ESOL Tutors

To teach ESOL classes to Adult Asylum Seekers and Refugees attending classes at BECON

The successful candidate(s) do not need to be qualified teachers but having some teaching experience would be useful as support will be given. Being able to speak, read and write English is essential. The classes are also very social so they will also need to be wanting to meet and engage with new people.

We required:

  • Fluency in English
  • Good team worker
  • Enthusiastic about working with adults
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment
  • Teaching experience would be useful but not essential,
  • The ability to manage groups of non-English speaking students
