Cultures Community Interest Company (CIC) was established in 2007. Based in Stockton-On-Tees, Cultures CIC works with individuals and groups from BME, Immigrant and Refugee communities to improve social, economic and cultural inclusion and build social cohesion in Tees Valley.

As part of their celebrations for Black History Month, Cultures CIC is holding its 5th Annual Black History Youth Awards & Fundraising Dinner on 25th October 2018 at Teesside University.

The Black History Youth Awards arose to address the unique set of challenges facing young black people in Teesside and seeks to raise aspirations through promoting positive role models, celebrating positive stories rather than focusing on negatives, and to promote their mentoring project “it’s you and me”. Through a prestigious black-tie dinner we hope to show young black people that success is achievable, and allow them to meet with individuals, organisations and businesses to broaden their horizons and further their prospects.

Cultures would like to give you this opportunity to nominate a young person from African/Afro Caribbean origin who you believe has excelled in one of our award categories, Nomination form.

Please return the completed nomination form by email to tasteofafrica.teesside@gmail.com or by post to 66 Dovecot Street, Stockton on Tees, TS18 1LL.

Alternatively you can vote via our website www.culturescic.org.uk The closing date for nominations is 1st October 2018 at 5pm

At the Awards Cultures CIC will be holding a raffle draw to raise funds for the mentoring project and would greatly appreciate any support donating prizes.

In exchange your organisation will be given recognition for their contribution towards the raffle and any other support given, each guest will receive information on Cultures CIC’s mentoring program, as well as the information of all sponsors and contributors. Recognition will also be given in any press releases, social media and their website at www.culturescic.org.uk

Cultures CIC are able to hold this dinner due in part to the generous donations from organisations and businesses. Last year’s sponsors included Middlesbrough Football Club, Flawless Photographic Studios and many more whose details are on Cultures CIC’s website.
