A £10M fund has been announced for ‘business support’ organisations to create resources to help their members prepare for a no-deal Brexit. The Office for Civil Society has confirmed that civil society organisations are eligible.
If you decide to apply, we wanted to let you know that we have created some resources that you might want to use if you access this funding:
- Blog post – Charities and Brexit: regardless of the outcome preparation is key
- New NCVO guidance on no-deal Brexit
- Video recording of webinar held 11 September
NCVO have made a word copy of our guidance available to local infrastructure colleagues in case you decide to apply to deliver workshops, hardcopy materials, advice packs, training courses and webinars. There is no need to recognise NCVO, although they would appreciate the acknowledgement if you feel able to recognise NCVO’s support in a way that wouldn’t compromise the materials. The resources need to be new, but the guidance could be used to assist in developing advice packs edited and amended to suit the locality or to place adverts in local papers, information on your website, and so on.
Similarly, the NCVO webinar could be used as part of an event or could be linked from your website.
Although the minimum grant of £25,000 is quite a lot, especially given the timescale, local infrastructure organisations could bid in partnership. The application process has been made relatively simple, and there is a commitment to make decisions swiftly.
Closing date: Monday 30th September
