Stockton Pop-up Vaccination Clinics

The risks of COVID-19 and flu are still real. Get your vaccinations this winter to protect yourself and the people you love. On Monday 6th November from 10am – 5pm in the Town Hall on Stockton High Street there is a pop-up vaccination clinic.

All eligible groups over 18 are welcome, this includes those over the age of 65, carers and those who are immunosuppressed

Although in the UK women on average live longer than men, evidence shows they spend a greater proportion of their lives in ill mental health of disability when compared with men.

Your local NHS Integrated Care Board (North East and North Cumbria) and Public Health would love to hear from women, and those who identify as women, to improve

  • Access to women’s health services
  • Health information
  • Experiences of health services
  • the quality of care and health outcomes and support emotional wellbeing

Resilience Workshop

Young people as well as adults are impacted by incidents and emergencies (Covid, Challenges with Climate Change, extreme weather and the ongoing cost of living) We want to explore interactions of resilience and different stages of a young person’s life and identify how the community and LRF can better collaborate to improve resilience to incidents at the various life stages through to adulthood. The objectives of this session are

  • Provide a view as to resilience and its relevance at different ages
  • Find what is already in place and does it meet the needs of the community
  • Identification of key challenges and opportunities at different ages

Join us on Thursday November 23rd at Thornaby Pavillion 10am – 3pm for Stockton’s Wellbeing Festival, an event tailored for those aged 50 and above. This free to attend festival brings an extensive line up of organisations ready to provide vital information, support, and a diverse range of activities.

Attendees can access essential health resources, including blood pressure checks, screening guidance, defibrillator training, and assistance for conditions like dementia, cancer, caregiving, benefits, and employment opportunities.

Beyond these services, participants can engage with various social groups such as the wellness choir, woodcraft enthusiasts, and chess aficionados. To enrich the experience, museums will be joining us, and you can treat yourself to complimentary refreshments, mince pies, and even participate in an exciting raffle.
