The Co-op Charity has recently launched the third round of the Carbon Innovation Fund

The Carbon Innovation Fund (CIF), is a partnership between the Co-Op Foundation and the Co-Op and is now open for applications for its third round with a total of £3.5 million available for grants. The focus of this round is to find sustainable ways to create a thriving food and farming sector, without damaging peatlands across the UK.

Funded through Co-op donations raised from the sales of compostable carrier bags, the Fund will award grants of between £50,000 and £150,000 to ten projects.

The funding aims to protect peatland by reducing reliance on peat in food supply chains and promoting sustainable management of peat soils.

The fund is currently open to applications to UK organisations of any size with a deadline of Friday 15th March
