CATALYST CONFERENCE – Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Date: Friday 2nd November
Time: 8:45am – 4:30pm
Location: Ingleby Manor Free School, Welwyn Road, Maltby, Thornaby TS17 0PL

The Annual Catalyst Conference is the chance for VCSE organisations in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees to come together to discuss issues, network and learn more about what is happening.

The Conference, taking place on Friday 2nd November from 8:45am till 16:30pm, is titled “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” – a reference to how the VCSE can continue to be effective despite all the turbulence caused by public spending cuts, Brexit and other external factors.

Following the success of last year’s conference, Catalyst is hoping that 2018’s is going to be even better.

This year’s keynote speakers will be:

  • Nancy Doyle-Hall, Executive Director of Virgin Money Foundation
  • Dr Paul Williams, MP for Stockton South.

This year the lunchtime presentation from Clair Docherty, Funding Officer, North East & Cumbria Regional Team, Big Lottery Fund.

There will be workshops, networking and stalls from VCSE and partner organisations from across Stockton-on-Tees. Tea, coffee and lunch are provided.

The workshops will be discussing the following topics:

  • The Infinity Partnership
  • HMP Holme House and encouraging VCSE collaboration
  • An update from River Tees Rediscovered
  • Support for Smaller, Grassroots Organisations

The conference will end with our final guest speaker, Jane Bradshaw, Director of St Teresa’s Hospice, Darlington.
