Butterwick Hospice Care is the largest independent Hospice serving the areas of the Tees Valley, County Durham, North Yorkshire and Wearside. To enable us deliver high quality care they are recruiting a Clinical Lead to provide vision, drive, leadership and development within our Clinical Services.

Salary – £37,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Butterwick Hospice Care are a registered Charity which exists to freely provide in patient and day services to adults and children suffering from life limiting illnesses. they also provide supportive services to patients’ families and loved ones. They rely on the donations and fundraising of people and businesses across the communities we serve to fund their services.

The successful candidate will lead and motivate a well established team to develop and deliver a broad range of multidisciplinary services. You will have a proven track record of successful team leadership with experience of developing high performing teams. You will have experience of leading operational teams and implementing strategies to ensure we meet all statutory requirements and to drive the unit to achieve outstanding quality of care. You will be used to influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and crucially you will have a real passion to make a difference for our service users and their families.

They are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to successfully deliver high standards of care. In addition you will need;

  • To be a Registered Nurse with experience of working with adults and children with complex health needs.
  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • Significant experience of palliative care
  • Experience of operational planning, setting objectives and effective monitoring and delivery of performance.
  • Qualification and experience in team leadership.
