From supporting projects that improve access to food and mental wellbeing, to education and employment opportunities for young people, the Co-op Local Community Fund has never been so vital.

When Co-op members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes to community causes, targeting communities that need the extra help the most.

Until October 2021 you can support any of these 3 local causes:

  • Billingham and Stockton Borough Foodbank exists to alleviate food poverty within the Stockton Borough primarily, but not exclusively, through the supply of food. They have 4 centres, Billingham, Norton and two in Stockton. They also work with SDAIS (CAB) to provide advice to those in need. The Co-op community fund will help to pay for the running costs of the service. This may be purchasing food, fuel for their van or utility bills. The November 2021 payment will be used to provide their clients with Christmas hampers. Find out more
  • Norton Sports Charity provides sports facilities to residents of Stockton and beyond. We aim to benefit the whole community; to encourage people of all ages to get involved and get active. Money raised from the co-op Local Community Fund will allow us to provide coaching and improve our facilities and to help more people improve their quality of life and strengthen our community.
