Charities, community groups, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £20,000 to deliver community energy resilience projects across the North East and Yorkshire.

This funding is made available through the Northern Powergrid Foundation Community Grants programme, which aims to support projects addressing energy-related challenges including fuel poverty, energy resilience and the net zero transition. Projects could include programmes producing free energy efficiency measures for “fuel poor” households, installing solar panels and battery storage at community hubs.

Larger grants may be made in exceptional circumstances.
