Catalyst is the voice of the voluntary sector in Stockton. We engage every day with as many voluntary and community sector organisations as we can, always wanting to know about their achievements, and the issues they face. We draw on that information when we represent the sector in discussions, Board meetings and informal contact with decision-makers in the public sector.
Catalyst also provides a range of support to charities and community groups in Stockton, helping them to identify funding, questions about governance and a range of other things.
We are financially secure and looking forward to developing our business model to meet changing needs.
We have a Board of experienced Trustees with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, who advise me, and hold me and the rest of the team to account. Trustees enable a voluntary sector organisation to have access to a real breadth of experience. In return, they gain a tremendous insight into the voluntary sector, and skills and fulfilling experiences that can help them in other areas of their working life.
We are always interested in talking to potential new Trustees. If you would like to be a Catalyst Trustee, please get in touch, whatever your background. Right now, we’re particularly interested in someone with a finance/accountancy background joining the Board, but we’d like to hear from people from other backgrounds too.
