Catalyst is the voice of the voluntary sector in Stockton-on-Tees. We engage every day with as many voluntary and community sector organisations as we can, always wanting to know about their achievements and the issues they face. We draw on that information when we represent the sector in discussions, Board meetings, and informal contact with decision-makers in the public sector.
As our current chairperson comes to the end of her term, we are looking to recruit a chair to our board of trustees.
The Chair plays a central role in shaping the organisation’s success. As Chair, you will provide leadership to the board, support a strong governance culture, and work closely with the Chief Executive to ensure the organisation remains ambitious, effective and sustainable.
This role offers the opportunity to:
- Shape strategic priorities and long-term vision.
- Build and lead a motivated, high-performing board.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation.
- Support and challenge the executive team to achieve their best.
We are seeking a Chair who brings credibility, empathy and strategic leadership, along with the ability to foster collaboration, constructive challenge and clear decision-making. Experience in chairing or senior leadership is highly desirable, as is a commitment to our mission and values.
