The annual elections for members of the Council of Interest are taking place in April and we would like to invite representatives from across the sector to nominate yourself to become a member of the Council of Interest.
The Council of Interest meets on a quarterly basis for approximately two hours, and dates are set in advance.
The mission of the Council of Interest is: ‘To assist Catalyst and its Constituency Membership in achieving their mission.’ This includes to ensure Catalyst and its Board fully understand the barriers, issues and priorities of the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, to assist Catalyst and its Board in developing priorities and work programmes. They will act as a critical friend to Catalyst and its Board.
The full Terms of Reference are available on email to Heather Sykes, heather.sykes@catalyststockton.org
Those wanting to become members of the Council of Interest must be part of an organisaiton that is a full member of Catalyst. If you are not already a member you can sign up here.
Nominations need to be in by 12 noon on Friday 30th March, emailed to Heather Sykes.
At the first meeting we will be electing the Chair and Vice Chair. If you are interested in one of these role please contact Heather Sykes for the relevant nomination form.
If we receive too many nominations we will send out a Survey Monkey to all the Catalyst Forums and the 15 people with the highest number of votes will become members of the Council of Interest. Where there is a tie the Catalyst Board will make a final decision based on the organisations who have come forward to ensure a wide spread across the VCSE community.
