A new Fund has launched that aims to reduce closures of youth organisations as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. The Fund is worth £1.84 million and will enable youth organisations to stay afloat and implement changes needed to ensure high quality essential services to young people can continue in both the short and long term.

Applications are accepted from organisations that are based in England and have a turnover of less than £250,000. Organisations do not have to be a youth club or youth charity to be eligible, but they must be applying for an activity that supports young people.

Grants of up to £50,000 are available and organisations should apply for the amount of funding they need to survive the next 15 months.

The funding can be used to cover costs such as the following:

  • Staff salaries.
  • Project running costs.
  • Running costs/overheads.
  • Goods and equipment which would not be capitalised (eg, to develop enhanced physical environment and allow organisations to continue to deliver services).
  • Organisational development.

The deadline for applications is 25 November 2020.
