Crossing the Tees Book Festival needs your memories of libraries. As part of the tenth annual festival, we are celebrating the social history of libraries in the Tees Valley.

Writer-in-residence Debbie Rolls and Photographer-in-residence Jo Booth will work with Sixth Element Publishing to produce a beautiful book curating tales of Teesside residents’ experiences of using libraries. The book will be launched as part of the 2023 festival on Friday 16th June at 7pm at Stockton Central Library. With a free drink and special celebratory cake for all attendees we’ll also be marking the 10th birthday of the Crossing the Tees Book Festival. This is a chance to remember all the fabulous events that have been part of the festival over the last decade.

You can drop into numerous libraries around the Tees Valley to share your memories and explore library photographs. But if you are not able to make it into a library, you can share your library memories by emailing info@crossingthetees.org
