The Darlington Building Society is committed to donating 5% of its profits every year to a range of good causes through its Pledge Fund. Applications are welcomed from across Darlington, Teesside, County Durham, Sunderland and parts of North Yorkshire. The fund is administered through the County Durham Community Foundation.
The fund aims to support local charities and voluntary-led organisations in County Durham and the Tees Valley with projects and activities that benefit communities, with the aim of enabling these groups to continue their work and make vital improvements to their service.
Projects should fall within the following themes:
No poverty.
Health and wellbeing.
Reduced inequality.
Stronger communities.
Climate.
The next round is expected to be open from 19 June to 31 July 2023.
