DCMS are co-producing a new National Youth Strategy, they want the National Youth Strategy to be fit for the decade ahead and provide young people with the services and opportunities that will help them reach their potential.
The Strategy will cover young people aged 10 – 21 (up to 25 for young people with SEND).It will be a cross-government strategy, with a focus on out of school support for young people, including universal services and activities, as well as those aimed at providing early support and advice where needed.
The national campaign called “deliver you” across England asks for views directly from young people to inform the National Youth Strategy. The campaign, co-produced with young people, is an ambitious and exciting opportunity for young people to share their views, experiences, and ideas – and tell the government what really matters to them.
DCMS have worked with the expert consortium, alongside advisory groups to create an ambitious national survey that has been launched. Young people across the country will be able to have their say on what matters to them through the survey, and these responses with shape the Strategy.
You can access the survey HERE. The deadline for responses is Wednesday 16th April 2025.
As well as the survey, DCMS have developed a session plan to help with the survey. Their ask is that you use the session plan to either run your own workshops with young people or share the Engagement and Comms Toolkit with your networks. Please share any feedback from your sessions by Friday 16th May 2025 at this LINK.
