Age UK Teesside is an established local charity driven by the needs and aspirations of people in later life working to promote the health and well-being of older people.
A collaborative approach between Age UK Teesside and Redcar & Cleveland Council will support hard to reach older and disabled people to improve their ability to access the internet to reduce the impact/risk of loneliness and social isolation. This will be achieved through the development of a programme to address the digital skills gap, increase choice, improve independence and enable social connections through assisted digital support.
Age Uk Teesside is seeking to employ a Digital Explorer Advisor to support older and disabled people on a 1:1 and group basis, improving access to a variety of online services and information.
Location: Redcar & Cleveland (Office base in Middlesbrough)
Salary: £10.22 per hour
Hours per week :3.5 Days – flexible
Type of contract: Fixed term – 1 year
Role details:
The successful candidate will advise and assist clients with internet access, online options and support. They will complete surveys and gather data to help evaluate the projects impact on each individual.
Applicants must have a proven track record of taking a person centered approach to support and in promoting projects to stakeholders and clients. Having an up-to-date knowledge around the latest technology will be advantageous.
