Corner House is seeking to employ a motivated individual to work in conjunction with the Youth Work Teams and other local agencies and organisations, to ensure children and young people receive appropriate interventions at the earliest opportunities in the Stockton Borough.
You will provide a supportive role and point of contact for Early Intervention, relating to vulnerable children and young people, across the specified localities. You will liaise with Management Team, in the planning and delivery of early intervention activities, to ensure their effectiveness.
Salary: £22,684 per annum (Pro Rata) Hours: 20 Hours per week
Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaise with Youth Workers across specified localities to identify children and young people requiring early intervention support.
Develop trusted, professional relationships with children, young people and their families, who require early intervention support.
Develop links with relevant, local children and young people’s services (Statutory and VCSE) to improve information sharing and support structures for vulnerable children and young people.
To attend any multiagency meetings relevant to the role or identified vulnerable children or young people.
Complete all necessary monitoring and reporting requirements.
To undertake appropriate training relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the post.
To maintain effective communication with other team members and management.
To ensure that professional standards are maintained in line with the organisation’s aims and objectives.
Adhere to organisation’s policies and working practice documents.
To be flexible in your working hours i.e. weekend and evening work. Be prepared to ‘cover’ duties of other staff members during their holidays, sickness etc.
To undertake other duties and responsibilities, as directed by management in line with the nature and grade of the post.
To take reasonable care of your own health and safety and co-operate with management, so far as necessary, to enable compliance with the CHYP health and safety rules and other legislative requirements.
