This training, facilitated by MVDA, is split into four separate sessions, The sessions are designed so that participants can attend all four units and get a complete overview of Volunteer Management or mix and match individual units on topics that most interest you.

Session 1: Volunteers and the Law
Wednesday 13th September – 1pm – 3pm

This session will give an overview of the key legal issues that need to be kept in mind when involving volunteers.

Session 2: Policies and Procedures
Wednesday 27th September – 1pm – 3pm

This session will give participants an understanding of the relevant policies and procedures that are needed before recruiting volunteers.

Session 3: Recruitment and Induction
Wednesday 11th October – 1pm – 3pm

This session will look at ways of creating effective recruitment strategies and show ways to ensure that new volunteers are inducted properly

Session 4: Support and Supervision
Wednesday 8th November – 1pm – 3pm

This session will give participants an understanding of the all ways that volunteers can be supported, to ensure that they have an enriching experience whilst volunteering.
