Family Action is seeking to recruit a Family Outreach Support Worker.

Salary: £20,173 – £22,810 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

Family Action is a charity committed to building stronger families by delivering innovative and effective services and support that reaches out to many of the UK’s most vulnerable children, young people and their families. They seek to empower people and communities to address their issues and challenges through practical, financial and emotional help. Family Action and HDFT are working in partnership to deliver an integrated 0-19 Family Support and Volunteer Outreach Service. The roles within this service will be working in partnership with HDFT and other HDFT colleagues, but will be employed directly by Family Action.

You must have proven experience of ensuring families receive integrated, coordinated, multi-agency and solution focused support. You will need enthusiasm, a creative & flexible approach to your work alongside an ability to engage positively with a wide range of people. A sound knowledge of child development and the assessment process is essential as is sharing their commitment to coproduction. You will have experience of and the ability to act in the Lead Professional role and evidence the ability of working with children and families.

The post will involve working with families across the locality of Stockton-On-Tees. You must have access to a vehicle for business purposes and be able to travel frequently, with the expectation you will work collaboratively with Family Action & key delivery partners across the North Region of the country.
