This programme offers funding to groups and schools that need assistance in bringing music to their community and to fulfil their potential in developing truly sustainable music programmes.

Typically, grants of up to £2,500 are awarded for the purchase of instruments, associated equipment or for teaching costs. However, all applications are judged on their own merit and other project elements may also be considered.

Priority will be given to applicants who are most in need of help, with applications being assessed on the following key criteria:

  • The number of new musicians the project will create and support.
  • The sustainability of the project.
  • Whether there are other organisations willing to help fund the project.

Groups that need funding for funding requirements in January 2020 should apply now.

The deadline for application is Friday 1st November 2019.
