Combating Social Isolation for all including Veterans, Pensioners , Carers and New Parents

Description

Yarm Wellness Charity was formed in 2021 to support the region of Stockton with the crippling effects of Social Isolation.

We provide a Veterans Breakfast, Pensioners Lunch, Coffee, Cake and Company, Playgroup, Dementia support afternoon tea, men’s health and woman support group plus a wellness choir, art, photography, craft, gardening and much much more, including cancer holistic support and stoma peer support. Please see our website Mind and Body Workshops | Yarm Wellness | Yarm

We house charities including, Red Balloons, Teesside Dementia Link Services, Royal British Legion and work with Macmillan, MIND and the local GP practices to ensure we look out for those that need support, we are a safe warm space for people to come together.  We are run by 50+ volunteers who we value so much. We have over 11,000 people attend our sessions a year. We would love to invite you to come down and see the centre and see our new outdoor area which will be open in 2026.  Chatty benches, Menshed/Wellness Shed, memorial garden and mindfulness area.  Somewhere for people to come and meet others.

Core costs is something that we struggle to get to ensure that we can keep putting the lights on, to pay the insurance, to provide the refreshments and keep the centre safe, clean and warm.

Would you like to support the charity in 2026? Would you be interested in sponsoring us?  In return we will put your name on our new Website sponsor page, on our social media and outside and inside our centre on a board.  We are looking for a sponsorship of £10k a year to cover our small gap needed.  That could be 4 sponsors of £2500 or 2 of £5000. Or even a full sponsorship.

Equally our session could support your employees, we run a menopause support group, men’s and woman health plus holistic activities.

Many thanks for the chance to let you know what we do and we look forward to meeting you.
