The Theatre Artists Fund has been set up for theatre workers and freelancers across the UK who need urgent and critical financial support due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on the theatre sector.
The aim is to provide short-term relief for those from underrepresented groups disproportionately affected by the crisis.
First launched on 6 July 2020, this fund has raised £7.4 million to date and supported nearly 7,300 applicants. Under the current round, eligible applicants can be considered for a one-off emergency grant of £500, which they can use towards living costs.
Various freelancer roles are eligible, including actors, directors, producers, choreographers, comedians, composers, dancers, magicians, set and scene designers, wardrobe professionals, make-up artists and puppet makers.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 21 September 2021 (12:00 BST).
