Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is looking to award contracts to appoint Lead Providers to help support the delivery of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, 2021.

The Holiday Activities and Food Programme 2021 is a Department for Education funded project which will be delivered by Stockton-on-Tees Council and partner organisations. This programme will provide enriching activities and healthy meals during the school holidays to children who receive benefits-related free school meals, during the Summer and Christmas Holidays in 2021.

As part of the first phase of work the Council is seeking to appoint a total of three Lead Organisations, each of which will cover a separate area of the borough. The role of the Lead Organisations is to coordinate and support the commissioning of the providers who will deliver innovative, sustainable programmes for all eligible children in Stockton-on-Tees during the Summer and Christmas holiday periods in 2021.

Each Lead Provider will be paid a management fee of £25,000 (the activities and food themselves are to be funded by separate grants applied for through a centralised process). To apply to become a Lead Organisation the Council is asking potential suppliers to submit quotes for a chance to be considered for the contract. Contracts will be awarded based on the quality of all submissions received.

The opportunity is open now and can be accessed and responded to via the NEPO portal at the link below, where full details of the Programme are also available. The closing date for submissions is 16 April 2021. If you are not already registered you should start this application as soon as possible, help is available on the NEPO website.
