Would you like to have your say in selecting a future creative community project? ARC Stockton has run the popular ‘Pizza and Pitches’ initiative for over two years. At the end of the selection process, local creatives pitch their proposals in front of an audience at ARC, who then vote for their favourite.

The successful pitcher receives £1k of funding from ARC to start their idea, which needs to have a connection to the Borough of Stockton-On-Tees. The winner also receives practical support from ARC to develop and complete their vision.

Previous winners include a targeted dance initiative, a youth skateboarding project and an exhibition presented by a local artist collective.

A community panel gathers several times a year to select the final pitchers from all of the submitted entries. ARC is now seeking new members to contribute their views and expertise. You don’t need to have an arts background, just a passion for community activity in the Borough. When restrictions are lifted, ARC will also supply hot beverages and cake to help your decision making!

If you’re interested in joining the community panel or would like more information, please email Stephen Laing, ARC’s Community Programme Co-ordinator at stephen.laing@arconline.co.uk
