Salary: £26,053 pro rata
Hours: 37.5 per week
The Liberty Project is an outreach, engagement and recovery service for survival sex workers in Teesside that provides specialist support for complex, vulnerable and exploited women around a range of issues such as substance misuse, homelessness, exploitation, sex work, offending behaviour etc. It aims to provide clear pathways and improve access to key services and is delivered with an understanding of trauma, a focus on recovery and safety.
The project includes evening and late night outreach, low threshold drop-ins, group work and one to one support using a strengths based approach to empower the women they work with. A strength of the project incorporates their ability to reach out to the women within the community, police custody and prison who often struggle to engage with more mainstream support services.
It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for these posts are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, or the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS checks will be required.
