A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity with a difference which aims to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.
A Way Out’s women’s project, Liberty, consists of an outreach and a recovery program, aiming to engage women aged18+, with various needs. The projects prime focus is on tackling and addressing sexual exploitation/prostitution and the wide range of associated issues i.e. substance misuse, homelessness etc. It aims to provide clear pathways and improve access to key services such as sexual health for women involved in sex work both on and off street.
A Way Out is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Project Worker to the role of Complex Needs Worker to support the delivery of the outreach and recovery program. Meeting and building relationships with vulnerable women and hold a caseload of those women with complex needs, offering practical and emotional support to encourage and motivate change
Salary: £20,546
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
The project includes evening and late night outreach, low threshold drop-ins, group work and one to one support, intending to enhance the lifestyles of women, whilst widening their long-term aspirations.
It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for these posts are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, or the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS checks will be required.
