Salary: £21,089 – £23,761 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week

With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

Applications are invited for a full time Macmillan Cancer Support Worker to work within in the University Hospitals of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust. The post is fixed term until 31st March 2021.

This post is an exciting opportunity to join the Cancer Information Centre team at the Trust. The post holder will work directly with the Cancer Information and Survivorship Manager and in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and partner organizations to coordinate cancer survivorship activities and cancer information services.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have a good knowledge of the cancer information and survivorship agenda, have excellent communication skills and experience of working with patients, careers and multidisciplinary teams along with the ability to manage volunteers.

The post holder will be based at the University Hospital of North Tees however there will be an element of cross site working.

This appointment is subject to an Enhanced Level Criminal Records Bureau check.
