Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the Club’s independent charity of MFC established in 1996 by Club Chairperson, Steve Gibson. The Foundation uses the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.

Working closely with the Secondary Education Coordinator and within the Education and Employability team, you will deliver on all aspects of the Premier League Inspires programme and two Local Authority Virtual Schools programmes.

The role will include facilitating learning and education interventions to secondary school aged young people, as well as some targeted one-to-one support for identified young people providing both classroom and theory-based activity for both programmes. The role will contribute to wider Foundation delivery and strategic priorities, including other programme delivery where there is synergy and a thematic lead role.

Education and Employability Activator

Working in the Education and Employability Team, the role will deliver on the Middlesbrough FC Foundation’s education and employability programmes including Premier League Inspires and NCS Trust Community as well as supporting Premier League Primary Stars, EFL Trust Move and Learn and Virtual Schools. The role will also support on occasion wider Foundation programmes including but not limited to our Match FIT and Premier League Kicks programmes and match days at both the Men’s and Women’s games. The role will use our values and key themes of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), safeguarding, social action and impact to be embed in all delivery.

Targeted Youth Officer (Maternity Cover)

Full time, 1-year fixed term

Working closely with the Targeted Youth Coordinator and within the Social Inclusion team, you will deliver on all aspects of the targeted youth provision focusing on one-to-one mentoring and small group work with young people identified as high-risk and referred into Middlesbrough FC Foundation (the Foundation) for additional support. The role will deliver Substance funded Chances, Middlesbrough Council Switch It and/or Premier League Kicks Targeted programmes. The role will include facilitating meaningful activity through one-to-ones such as developing life skills,
working towards qualifications and improving school attainment. The role will contribute to wider Foundation delivery and strategic priorities, including other programme delivery where there is synergy and a thematic lead role.
