Refugee Futures is looking for additional trustees to strengthen and diversify the skills and experience of the Board for this new charity that supports asylum seekers and refugees in Stockton-on-Tees and the surrounding area.
Alongside additional trustees, Refugee Futures are are also looking for a new Chair to take over at an appropriate time from the current Chair who is going to retire later this year.
A role description (for both roles) are attached below. They are particularly (although not exclusively) keen for people with lived experience of the asylum system to apply as well as people with experience of being on a Board or committee. This is an exciting role for individuals who want to shape the future development of the organisation to help make it make a big difference to the lives of the increasing numbers of asylum seekers and refugees and those that support them.
Refugee Futures started in December 2020 following extensive consultation and is currently running three distinct projects. They have an exciting vision and over the next three years aim to expand our work to support over 1,300 people.
If you would like any further information about the charity, such as a copy of the Refugee Futures strategy please contact email@example.com
To apply for this role please email a CV and covering letter (max. two sides of A4) explaining why you think you would make a good Trustee/Chair and how you meet the person specification outlined in the role description. Please email these documents to Jess.Wratten@refugeefutures.org
