Background
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust.
Objectives of Fund
The Foundation’s mission is to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.
Value Notes
The maximum grant available is £5,000. However, groups are advised to apply for the level of funding the project or project specifics require, rather than the maximum level of funding available.
Who Can Apply
Registered charities working in the field of breast cancer in the UK are eligible to apply.
Social enterprises and Community Interest Companies can apply as long as they are legally constituted and their proposed project is clearly for public benefit.
The Foundation will consider applications from general cancer charities if any grant made will be used to benefit those suffering from, or affected by, 50% of patients that suffer from Breast Cancer or for research into, or the dissemination of information about, breast cancer.
The Foundation welcomes applications from all ethnic and minority groups.
Eligible Expenditure
Funding is available for revenue, capital or project costs.
The Foundation provides financial support to charities whose objects are:
- To relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or have been affected by, breast cancer by providing, or assisting in the provision of, information, care or emotional, practical and financial support.
- To advance public education in the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment, in particular but not exclusively by commissioning, or conducting, research into the causes, detection and treatment of breast cancer and by disseminating the results of such research.
- The Foundation is keen to support initiatives which promote a positive view of living with breast cancer.

How To Apply
Applications for the 2021 grant round will be accepted until Friday, 28 May 2021.
Groups that have not registered with the Pink Ribbon Foundation and are considering applying for a grant can send an email to the Foundation at any time of the year to be added to the register.
Application forms are available to download from the Foundation’s website.
Applications must be accompanied by the charity’s most recent annual report and accounts.
