The role of the Safeguarding Adults Project Officer is to develop and co-ordinate multi-agency initiatives that will meet the Board’s strategic objectives and support safeguarding adult arrangements across Tees.
Salary: £34,728-£36,922

The Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB) works in partnership to safeguard and promote the well-being and independence of adults living in the Boroughs of Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees; who are experiencing, or are at risk of abuse or neglect. The TSAB Business Unit works on behalf of partners to direct and co-ordinate the work of the Board, and to support the work of the various Sub-Groups for Safeguarding Adults. Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council hosts the Business Unit on behalf of the TSAB and is now recruiting to the position of Project Officer (Maternity Cover).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, well established team which provides business support and project work for the Board.
You will be involved in the development of the Board’s Strategic Plan, the Annual Report and publicity materials, and therefore must have the ability to produce high quality reports and documents. You will have a sound understanding of safeguarding adults’ practice and demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills.
You will be committed to promoting service user, carer and advocate involvement across Tees and will be responsible for leading the consultation exercise that will inform the development of the Board’s strategic plan.
You will be involved in the development of a range of strategic and operational functions, including the co-ordination of Safeguarding Adults Reviews, so you must be organised and have the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave and is suitable for secondment with permission from the candidate’s current employer.
This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office.
