Stockton Baptist Church was bustling with around 80 women and men from about 15 nations to mark this international celebration.
This year’s theme was Balance for Better. The Worshipful, Madam Mayor, Councillor Eileen Johnson and Member of Parliament for Stockton North, Alex Cunningham both recognised the important role that women play in society.
It was also Fairtrade fortnight and the audience discovered about the part women play in farming cocoa with the theme She Deserves- a living income, standard accommodation, clean water, education and healthcare. Please sign the petition to the Prime Minister HERE
