Vision Foundation provides funding for projects and activities that are designed to improve the experience of being blind or partially sighted, or at risk of sight loss, in the UK, and operate according to the following grant-making principles:

  • Reflect on the Foundation’s vision, values, and strategy.
  • Be intelligent and evidence based.
  • Be courageous and impact driven.
  • Encourage collaboration and be empowering.
  • Be meaningful and effective.
  • Offer stability but encourage sustainability.

Grants of up to £30,000 are available.

 

Charitable organisations that provide support and services to blind and partially sighted people can apply, such as:

  • Registered charitable incorporated organisations.
  • Charitable companies that are limited by guarantee.
  • UK registered charities.
  • Community interest companies.
  • Exempt charities.

Priority will be given to organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to involving experts and people with experience, such as blind and partially sighted people or people at risk of sight loss, in their work.

Projects that are delivered by two or more organisations working in partnership are welcomed.
