Tees Valley Wildlife Trust is now recruiting part-time, paid traineeships funded through the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Wildlife Trust’s Nextdoor Nature Project.
Nextdoor Nature is bringing communities together to help nature flourish where they live and work. Nextdoor Nature will provide people with the advice and support they need to help nature on their doorstep and leave a lasting natural legacy in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
As a Nextdoor Nature Trainee, you would spend three days a week assisting members of staff to deliver activities linked to a range of environmental projects. You will also receive training in environmental education and/or practical conservation activity on green spaces. Project staff will work with you to create a personal training development plan which can be customised to suit you.
As the role involves working with children you will be required to undergo a Disclosure Barring Check.
We are hoping to take on two trainees, the interview date will be 21st of September and if successful you will be expected to start your traineeship based at Margrove Heritage Centre week beginning the 24th of October. Trainees will receive a £250 per month bursary, a training allowance of £600 and a completion bonus of £300.
