This course will be provided by Sprouts Community Food Charity.
Participants will build an understanding on the importance of safe food handling practices and keeping foods safe.
Topics covered include:
- How bacteria causes food poisoning
- Hygiene control
- Temperature control
- Cleaning and disinfection
- Person hygiene
- Food hygiene and the law
- Kitchen design and layout
The QA Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (QCF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those working, or planning to work, in the food catering industry.
The course takes up to 6 hours including a test paper (30 multiple choice questions)
