A lot of VCSE organisations in Stockton-on-Tees are delivering services which make a difference to people’s mental health.

Some services are delivered by mental health specialists, whilst others such as sports clubs, lunch clubs and littler-picking groups can also make a big difference for people experiencing mental ill-health. Through the Health and Wellbeing Board, Catalyst has been talking to NHS providers and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council about planning the future of mental health services, and as a consequence we are going to hold a mental health workshop. If you provide services that benefit people’s mental health, even if mental health isn’t the focus of what you do, we’d love to see you there!

The aims of this workshop are:

  • To review proposals to open a Mental Health services ‘hub’ in the centre of Stockton
  • To build links between providers with a view to closer collaboration, more cross-referrals, and ultimately better mental health in Stockton
  • To see how we can work together in the future

This workshop will take place on Monday 4th July from 2pm – 4pm.
